Did you know that your employer may donate to SVPP for your volunteer time as a foster parent?
When it comes to fostering, one of the greatest aspects is getting to pick the cat or kittens that you want to foster! Kittens and cats come in all shapes and sizes and picking the one that resonates with you is part of the bargain.
Where to find a feline to foster
Most of our foster animals come from the San Jose Animal Care Center or the Santa Clara County Animal Services Center.
Once you have been notified that you are ready to foster, we encourage you to browse the animals at these shelters and let us know which one(s) you've selected. We will then do our best to get that feline to you as quickly as possible.

What if I find a cat?
If you are community member and have found a cat, we might be able to help you if you are also willing to foster.
Our ability to help community cats is only constrained by our ability to find an appropriate foster.
If you and/or your family or friends are willing to foster, we can provide services to facilitate the health checks and adoption for your found feline.
